This Thursday night’s open mic at Molly Malones’ is the final comedy show for the year in Townsville, so we’re expecting great things.

I’ll be there and it’ll be hosted by Justin Brown who, for all of his other failings, is a good MC (just kidding. Justin’s an excellent comic and a nice guy).

Oh, in case I haven’t mentioned it lately, Open Mic comedy nights at Mollys’ are now free to attend! You just can’t ask for better value than that.

Molly Malone’s brings you the final installment of Townsville’s best comedy open mic event for 2022!

We kick off at 7pm sharp, doors open at 6:30pm and there’s a $100 prize for the best newcomer! Entry is free and you can enjoy dinner and drinks throughout the show.

It’s a great night for both comics and spectators regularly showcasing some of Townsville’s best comedy talent.

Sign ups for comics will be on the night and time slots are limited. Slots will be allocated on a first in best dressed basis. Each comic gets a 5 minute spot and we always reserve 2 spots for newbies!

Of course it goes without saying that when they mention “Townsville’s best comedy talent” they are referring to me!

If you only see one live comedy event this year, you should definitely get out more. I’m hoping you can catch the action with me this Thursday because I’m personally dying to see the end of 2022 and we’re going to have a lot of fun closing it out.
