April is going to be great in Townsville for comedy, and you have a crack at winning a cool prize!
Firstly, there’s another installment of Love At First Laugh, which is a super fun comedy dating show that’s fun to watch and even more fun to participate in.
From the bizarre mind of Townsville comedy legend Justin Brown, Love At First Laugh is brilliant and it just gets better every time. Now you can win a VIP Food and Drink Package to make the night even more awesome. How? Easy!
First, Like This Post on Facebook. You should because it’s an awesome post that could give you free stuff. Second, Comment On The Post. We want to hear how keen you are!
Third, Like This Page. It’s the page for Molly Malone’s, the awesome venue that hosts Laugh At First Laugh as well as regular Open Mic nights for comedy.

Done all that? Great, you’ll be in the running to enjoy the next Love At First Laugh in VIP Style!
Speaking of new shows in Townsville, my mate and fellow comic Nick Jones has started something I’m personally very excited about. Speakeasy Comedy offers comedy and cocktails in a luxurious environment at The Townsville Brewery.
I love the rooms there so much I have to take pictures every time I visit (the same applies to The Heritage Exchange. We have some beautiful venues here). Speakeasy Comedy is a curated comedy show in the Banquet Centre at The Brewery and it’ll be a chance to dress up, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and creative cocktails and entertainment. This is the official blurb:

Get the good clobber out and join us for a night of cocktails and laughs.
this hand picked line up of North Queensland’s finest comedians take the stage to share their unique persectives on life, love and philosophy.
Don’t miss this oppurtunity to catch them before they are famous!!
Canapés Inluded in ticket price
Canapés from 6:00pm
Show starts at 7:00pm
Speakeasy Comedy sounds pretty good to me, an exciting and creative new format that ticks plenty of boxes for enjoyability. I know I’ll be checking it out. Look at the details on Facebook.

April also offers us the regular Open Mic at Molly Malone’s on the 7th, which I’ll be coming to. And on the 28th there’ll also be comedy at The Commonwealth Hotel – those nights are usually loose and lots of fun.
You can’t complain there’s no quality entertainment in Townsville. In April there’s four cool events just for comedy, and they all get my seal of approval.
